Years in the making. Now online.

HELP PL supports people from Poland who want to live and work in Germany – with visas, job hunting, housing and dealing with the authorities. It also works with companies that want to recruit and onboard skilled workers from Poland. Behind it all is one person: Klaudia Misaczek, herself born in Poland and raised in Germany.

The website had a long history. Over several years, various providers had worked on it – it was never finished. There was a design and there were pages in both languages – but the Polish version was not marked up as Polish, metadata was almost entirely missing, and there was neither a cookie notice nor a privacy setup that would let the site go live in Germany.

We took over the project and saw it through: finished building the pages, set up the content in both languages, brought the technical and legal side up to standard and launched the website at help-pl.de. Since then we have continued to look after it and promptly carry out the client's change requests.

  • Takeover & completion of a stalled project
  • Website development (6 pages per language)
  • Translation & bilingual German / Polish site
  • SEO: metadata, hreflang, sitemap, structured data
  • Mobile optimization & responsive layout
  • Cookie banner & privacy under TDDDG / GDPR
  • Accessibility & contrast
  • Ongoing support after launch

Two languages, one website

The audience reads Polish, the authorities and employers read German – so the site needs both on equal terms. The German version sits at the root, the Polish one under /pl/, every page with correct language markup and hreflang links to its counterpart. That way Google shows Polish searchers the Polish page and German searchers the German one, instead of treating the two as duplicates.

SEO & discoverability

Before, there was practically no metadata. Now each of the 12 pages has its own title, description and canonical, plus OpenGraph and Twitter tags. On top of that come an XML sitemap, robots.txt, structured data for the organization and an llms.txt for AI search systems. Lighthouse rates SEO and best practices at 100 / 100 and accessibility at 95 (measured in June 2026).

Mobile, legally sound, maintained

The shortest way to reach Klaudia is WhatsApp – so it is available on all 12 pages, on a smartphone just as on a desktop. Google Fonts only load after consent, and the cookie banner offers “Reject” on equal terms with “Accept”. And small things matter: on the contact page the social icons were white on white – invisible. Since the fix, they have a contrast ratio of 18:1 instead of 1:1.
